   'Rahat Loukoum' name derives from an old Turkish - "rahat ul-hulkilm", meaning "soothes throat". 

   Turkish Delight was first produced in various specific time jlavors with aromas of rose, mint, lemon, later with the addition of nuts, hazelnuts and almond, especially pistachios, which type is most preferred now. 

    Nowadays, besides classic flavours and nuts, the Turkish Delight is filled with exotic aromas, dried fruits and others.

The history of Turkish sweet temptation began in the Oriental Middle Ages. 

Rahat Loukoum acquired incomparable fame throughout Ottoman Empire and became a beloved specialty of the Balkans, Middle East, later in Western Europe where it became a wonderful addition to tea and was called Turkish Delight.
